All English produce is now in full swing and for those of you in charge of the kitchens you are spoilt for choice. Seasonal Information:
For those who find little time to think of inspiration here are a few ideas: - Fresh outdoor rhubarb (pies and crumbles)
Fresh fennel heads (pork and fish)
Fresh escarole, Batavia, dandelion (garnish the salad bowl)
Fresh garlic leaves (not on your First Date)
Fresh Lavender bunches (try as a kebab stick)
Fresh lemon thyme (fresh Sole and Trout )
Fresh Indian alphonso Mango (eat in the bath)
Fresh white flesh peaches, nectarines (you could get addicted)

As root-crop vegetable take a back seat on the main menu, its fresh salads that are very much on demand. Lets be honest if you can’t produce an exciting salad – you need a holiday. However I do get asked “what can I do to improve my lettuce bowl?”
